Privacy policy
SourdoughSof is a small home bakery. We collect what we need to bake your bread and get it to you, and nothing else. This page says exactly what that is, and how we use it to reach you about your order.

What we collect
When you place an order we ask for:
- Your name, so we know whose bread it is.
- Your email address, so we can confirm the order and send you a link to cancel it yourself.
- Your phone number, so we can reach you about your order if we need to.
- A delivery address, only if you ask for delivery rather than collection.
- What you ordered, when you are collecting it, and any notes you leave us.
If you leave a review, we keep the name you sign it with, what you wrote, your rating and any photo you attach. Nothing you send is published until we have read and approved it.
We do not use tracking pixels, advertising cookies or third-party analytics. There is no account to make and no password to lose.
What we do with it
We use it to bake and hand over your order. That means confirming the order, telling you when it is ready, delivering it if that is what you asked for, and getting hold of you if something changes. If you signed up for a weekly order, we use it to book each week's loaves for you.
We do not sell, rent, trade or share your personal information with anyone for their own marketing. The only people who see it are the bakery and the services we need to run the site — a web host to serve the pages and keep the orders, and an email service to send your confirmation. They handle it on our behalf and for no other purpose.
Calls and texts about your order
We do not run an automated text service and we do not send bulk messages. There is no mailing list to be added to and nothing subscribes you to anything.
What does happen is ordinary: if we need to reach you about the order you placed, we may call or text you from the bakery's own phone, the way one person messages another. That means telling you your bread is ready, that we are running behind, or that a delivery is on its way — and nothing else. We use the number you gave us with your order, only for that order.
- What we never send: marketing, offers, promotions, newsletters, or anything sent to a list.
- Who we never message: anyone who has not placed an order with us, and any number that came from anywhere other than the person it belongs to.
- What it costs you: nothing from us, though message and data rates may apply from your carrier.
If you would rather we did not text or call, just say so — reply to any message, answer your order email, or send us a note on @sourdoughhsof. We will only use email after that. It does not affect your order either way; every order is confirmed by email regardless.
Mobile information
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your phone number is not sold, rented, traded or handed to anyone else's mailing list, and it is not used for anything but reaching you about your own order.
How long we keep it
Orders are kept so we know what we baked and what we were owed. Reviews we have published stay up until you ask us to take one down. If you want your details removed, ask us and we will remove them, keeping only what we have to for our own records of a sale.
Children
This is a bakery, not a service for children. We do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 13.
Changes
If this page changes we will change the date at the top of it. If we ever do start sending automated messages, we will ask before adding anybody to them — it will never happen quietly, and never to somebody who did not say yes.
